If you’re an avid photographer, the aura app offers you a new way to display and manage your photos. It’s a smart digital photo frame that can also help you prevent identity theft and online threats.
It can scan billions of public records to instantly alert you if your child’s Social Security number is being used by criminals. It can also automate the process of requesting a credit freeze with all three major credit bureaus for children under 18. It can even monitor your bank accounts, credit cards and financial accounts to instantly notify you of suspicious activity.
In terms of security, aura provides a suite of features including password protection, secure cloud storage and an integrated digital assistant that can help you stay organized and on top of your finances. It can also automatically sync all your logins and passwords across all devices. It can also monitor internet usage and filter content to help you manage time spent on your phone or tablet.
You can access a variety of health-focused sessions and content within the aura app. The ‘Aura’ tab, for example, includes a selection of guided meditations and sleep audiobooks designed to help you relax and improve your rest. You can also browse a range of therapists and coaches that offer 1-1 coaching to help you on your wellness journey.
The app can be connected to other Aura frames so you can share content with friends and family. It can also be paired with other smart home devices like cameras, speakers and thermostats to enable automation. Its app has a clean, intuitive interface that makes it easy to use and understand. It’s available on iOS and Android, and it supports iCloud and Google Photos for automatic uploads. However, it doesn’t include any options for storing or viewing photos locally. It also skips photos containing nudity and official documents as well as photos that are blurry or badly lit.
Aura is currently offering a two-week free trial with no commitment. You can sign up at the official website or from within the app. Once you’ve done so, you can start to add your personal details and setup your device. You can also choose to add a credit card or PayPal account so you can make payments on your account.
The aura app is quite feature-rich, but some functions are tucked away and may not be obvious to some users. Those include mood trends, gratitude journal and the ability to share your progress with other members of the community. It would be great to see these options moved to the front of the app where they can be more easily found. This doesn’t detract from the overall experience though and the app is still very impressive. It just needs some tweaks and refinements to be a truly standout app in this space.
